Coffee Cup Cozy
Nothing like a cool crisp fall morning to make you want to have a hot cup of coffee (or hot cocoa)! Keep your hands protected with this easy coffee cup cozy made with the super soft velvet yarn.
I promised another fall pattern using this wonderful pumpkin color of Yarn Bee’s Velvety Smooth yarn and here it is – the Velvet Coffee Cup Cozy!
This project is perfect for beginners because it is made with a simple variation of a beginner stitch – single crochet.
You’ll love how the cozy feels in your hands while you crochet and while you sip on your favorite hot drink!
This coffee cup cozy is a quick and practical project perfect for a gift or for yourself.

sp = space
sk = skip
hk = hook
lp = loop
Notes:
Cozy is worked back and forth in rows

Lastly both the top and bottom are edged with both colors
Instructions:
With Pumpkin color ch 9
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each ch across. Turn. (8 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, working in the front loop only, sc in each st across. Turn.
Repeat Row 2 until measures 8 1/2″ long (approximately 18 rows)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for assembly

Finishing and Assembly:
Sew first and last row together with yarn tail and tapestry needle
Join with sl st in any st on top edge; ch 1; work sc evenly around the top edge; join with sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off.
