Crochet Shamrock Patterns
Over the years I have designed several crochet shamrock patterns and I thought it would be nice to have them listed all in one place for you. Did you know that a shamrock is basically 3 hearts joined together at the bottom points? And since there are many ways to crochet a heart shape, there are also many ways to crochet a shamrock! I think you’ll enjoy browsing the various projects below and making one in time for St. Patrick’s Day this year. 🙂

Celtic Knots and Simple Hearts
You’ll see that some of these crochet shamrock patterns include simple Celtic Knots. One of my favorite projects is the Celtic Knot Trinity Shamrock Garland that incorporates the timeless Trinity knot with the heart-shaped leaves of the shamrock. You’ll also see that there are some simple heart shapes combined to make easy shamrock projects. I love to whip up a few shamrocks at this time of year to include in cards, leave in my community with an sweet note or give to friends and family. It’s also fun to make a shamrock and turn it into a piece of jewelry to wear on March 17th! (You’ll see those projects below, too ☘)

Celtic Shamrock Wall Hanging
The Celtic Shamrock Wall Hanging combines 3 easy Celtic Knot hearts and one other simple Celtic Knot to create a unique decoration mounted to a simple crocheted rectangle. All diagrams are included in the pattern along with a step-by-step video tutorial all for FREE here on the blog!
Yarn: Big Twist Twinkle and Sinfonia (Any yarn for the rectangle would work – I recommend DK weight cotton for the Celtic Shamrock)

The Celtic Shamrock Shawl Pin is created with basic stitches and a simple Celtic Shamrock design. Project is very lightweight and adds a great amount of interest to any crocheted or knitted shawl.

Crochet Shamrock Cowl
The Crochet Shamrock Cowl is reversible and uses a simple top-stitch technique to add the pretty shamrock to the center square. The thick yarn helps the cowl base to work up fast and creates a wonderfully soft warmth around your neck.

Celtic Knot Trinity Shamrock Garland
I created the Celtic Knot Trinity Shamrock Garland design several years ago as one of my first attempts at combining Celtic Knots with crochet. Just a few years ago I decided to rework it into this garland project and always love seeing it hanging in my home. It is surprisingly simple and quick!

Crochet Shamrock Square
The Crochet Shamrock Square is another variation of the Little Lacy Heart pattern but this time it is made with Size 4 (Medium weight) acrylic yarn! Crochet squares are great projects for practice and can easily be turned into so many larger projects: pillows, bags, blankets, trivets, and more. This square has a lot of texture and I LOVE the combination of greens and orange.
