Crochet Shamrock Earrings

Crochet Shamrock Earrings with a trinity knot at the center and green shamrock leaves around - shown hanging in an ear

Crochet Shamrock Earrings

Crochet shamrocks are so fun to make! The shamrock shape is easy to replicate with crochet stitches. I love how the Trinity Knot works so well with the 3 petals/leaves of a shamrock and thought it would be fun to take the basic design of my Celtic Trinity Shamrock Garland and make it smaller into these crochet shamrock earrings! Celtic Knot and a Shamrock

The Celtic Trinity Knot is a very easy knot to weave and immediately evokes an Irish feel to your project. This project uses Size 10 cotton crochet thread to give it the delicate look. But because this is thin thread, it is more challenging to crochet and weave. Inside the pattern I include several color photos that take you step-by-step in weaving the knot with some tips of how to work with a small cord including an enlarged knot diagram to help you see what you are doing while working in the actual size diagram.

Crochet Accessory Makes for a Perfect Gift!

One crochet shamrock earring hanging from edge of small white pot with green plant inside

I enjoyed making a bunch of these crochet shamrock earrings this past week and I look forward to wearing them as we get closer to St. Patrick’s Day. Do you have a friend or family member who loves all things Irish? Then this would make a great gift for them. Another idea is that you could sew (or glue) on a small piece of felt to the back of one shamrock motif and attach a pin backing so that this project can be worn as a pin, too!

Happy crocheting!
