Featured Scarf -Ombre Log Cabin Infinity Scarf

Number 1 on our list of FREE easy beginner crochet scarf patterns is this infinity scarf that I designed and crocheted all while staying in a cozy log cabin. It was snowing for several days and my family and I had a great time enjoying the peace and quiet inside and outside just a week or so before Christmas one year. This crochet scarf uses a simple variation on the half double crochet stitch that creates a knit-like look and is best worked in the round. And those pretty color changes? All done by the yarn so I had only 2 ends to weave in at the end!

I really love all of these! But I will say The Simple Crochet with Tassels.
Glad you like these scarf patterns! Thank you for commenting 🙂
Nice collection but my favorite is the Entirely Easy Men’s Scarf by Jessica Underwood. I don’t really like working with bulky yarn though and infinity scarves are not my favorite either so I would most like work it in #4 yarn as a traditional scarf. Yes, I know it would mean a lot more stitches to start with but it would be worth it in the end. And I do like the color it’s worked in so would probably try to find something close to it in shade.
That would work just fine – some more stitches is no big deal if you get the look you want. Thanks for commenting 🙂
I love the coffee bean infinity scarf it looks so cozy!
It does! I love how the stitch looks in it 🙂
I love all the beautiful scarves, however, the Coffeebesn is my favorite. I want to do the man’s scarf for my future son in law.
Sounds like a good plan! Hope you enjoy making the scarf 🙂
What a great collection! I especially like the Diamonds in the Rough Scarf.
Thank you for commenting – that one is so pretty!
Those are some beautiful patterns! Thanks for sharing them! I love the texture on them all.
I agree – they do have great texture 🙂
Coffee Bean Infinity is the one for me. I can’t wait to get my hands into this pattern.
Hope you have fun making it!
So many lovely scarfs but I think my favourite is the Coffee Bean Infinity Scarf.
Glad to hear you like the scarves! 🙂
I love the half double crochet infinity scarf. So nice to ear infinity scarves!
I agree – I love to wear infinity scarves, too 🙂
Well, I love the cowl scarves and especially the hdc that looks like knit. Thanks for the great free patterns . Keep warm and cozy. It is cold and windy here in Southern California but no snow where I live.
You are welcome! Today is cold and windy here, too – brrr.
I have never done an infinity scarf or a cowl. But I think the Ombre Log Cabin scarf is the one I will start with. Like all of the selections there. I will start it on Sunday for my birthday.
I think you’ll enjoy making the infinity scarf 🙂 Happy birthday!!
I love the Simple Crochet Scarf with Tassels. I am a beginner, and I believe that I can make this one.
Yes! This is the perfect scarf for a beginner – you just need to know how to do the chain, single crochet and double crochet. 🙂
I love the diamond in the rough pattern, I’m going to make it again after finishing my other projects.
Wonderful! Happy crocheting 🙂
I am loving the half double crochet scarf, very cute & looks pretty easy to do!!!
Half double crochet is one of the best stitches! 🙂
I like all of the scarves, but my favorite is the Ombre Log Cabin Infinity Scarf!
Glad to hear you like that one! I love to wear it 🙂
I love the Coffee Bean Infinity scarf, so fluffy and soft looking! This time of year scarves come in SO handy!! Thanks for the links Jennifer!

Hi, Jennifer.
I’ve been following you for a while, but this is the first time I’m commenting. The first of your designs that I made was the celtic knot bracelet.
I really like scarves 1, 2, 4, and 9.
Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment today. Glad to hear you made the Celtic Knot bracelet and that you like several of these scarves! 🙂
I love all of the scarf patterns but I am most intrigued by the Coffee Bean Infinity Scarf. I love the look of the stitch and since I checked out the pattern, I also noticed an ear warmer pattern, which makes this perfect. I love ear warmers over hats as they do the trick without covering your whole head. LOL I am looking forward to doing the learning and using the bean stitch. Always love learning something new.
Thanks for mentioning the ear warmer! Good for you that you love to learn new things – have fun with the bean stitch! 🙂
Ombre Log Cabin Infinity Scarf is my favorite but I love them all
That’s great! It’s one of my favorite to wear and one of my favorite stitches 🙂
I love them all. And I’m so glad to have signed up!!
Yay! So glad to have you a part of our community! 🙂
They are all really nice. Thank you for sharing these scarves. It’s hard to pick but I really like the following: Ombre Log Cabin, Ocean Waves, Simple Crochet Scarf with Tassels, and the Easy Men’s Scarf. Now I have to decide which one I want to start first. Again, thanks for sharing.
You are welcome! Have fun picking which scarf you would like to make next 🙂
I like the Ocean Waves Scarf, probably because it is blue LOL!
I love blue projects, too 🙂
oh i really love the snowfall scart! I really love them all to be honest. I am no beginner, but still love the simplicity of a project that can be worked on mindlessly while watching one of my favorite shows and having a beautiful and practical piece when I am done. <3
So glad to hear you like all the scarves and like to have easy projects on hand like me. 🙂
Ocean waves is my favorite
🙂
I like the Super Easy Super Scarf. In fact, I have already made 2 of them!
Wow! Glad to hear it’s a good make 🙂
This is my favorite also. I have two grandchildren graduating, so I made them each on in their school colors. Now all the men want one, guess I know what I’ll be making for Christmas gifts this year.
Great idea to make them in school colors! Happy crocheting a bunch of scarves – I’m sure everyone will love them🙂
My fav is the Coffee Bean Infinity Scarf.
🙂
I love the Coffee Bean Infinity Scarf. The colors are so warm. I don’t like coffee, but I love the look of this scarf. I’ve already made the Entirely Easy Men’s Scarf. It was a Christmas gift. Actually I made two of them. Stay warm, stay safe.
I like that one, too! Such pretty color changes. That’s neat that you already made the men’s scarf. Thank you for commenting 🙂
