Autumn Splendor Scarf
Here in New England fall is upon us. The beautiful colors of autumn are all around. We love to stop and gaze at the prettiest trees in our neighborhood. When the sun shines through the golden leaves, it is like ornate stained glass windows. Don’t you love the sound of the swish and crunch when you walk through fallen leaves? Or how about the smells of fall? Apples? Pumpkins? Cinnamon?
I created this light scarf to be worn as a reminder of the beauty of autumn in all its splendor. The yarn is by Red Heart and is called, “Unforgettable” which comes in great colorways. This one is perfect for fall – it is called “Sunrise”. I love the bright orange, olive green, denim blue and cranberry red that make up this yarn.
The stitch is an easy ‘sort-of cable’ that is a snap to get the hang of and creates an interesting pattern among the color changes. Whenever I wear this scarf, I get several compliments and I love the way it feels around my neck.
