Autumn Snowflake

Yes, I know, why are we thinking about snowflakes in the middle of August?
Well, I wanted to share my other entry into the CGOA Design Competition.
Here it is:

“Autumn Snowflake”
It reminded me of an intricate snowflake and the colors reminded me of fall. In fact, the pretty coral color was also my wedding color.  I used the pretty Perle Cotton crochet thread and a small steel hook. (All of which I had found a long time ago on clearance!)  I had a basic idea of what I wanted the doily to look like but as I created it, I had to improvise the structure and amount of rounds.  I am pleased with how it turned out.

  1. I really like your work and would love to get this pattern but did not see it on your etsy page. Is there a way to purchase this pattern?

    1. Hello! Thank you for visiting and for your feedback. At this time I do not have a pattern for this project but I have several other Celtic Knot patterns in my Etsy shop and here on the blog – see “Free Pattern” page for photos and links. I will consider publishing the pattern for this in the near future. Happy crocheting! Jennifer

  2. Hi, I love this Celtic snowflake and would love the pattern and tutorial, do you have a link where I can find it please?
I’m happy to pay for it, there just isn’t much around on Celtic patterns, this would be lovely as a centre piece for a small table cover.
    Thankyou in advance

    1. Hello! Thank you for visiting and your feedback on this design. At this time I do not have the pattern available but I am planning on publishing it after the New Year in 2021. Please check back then. Also, there are several other Celtic Knot patterns on this blog (https://celticknotcrochet.com/patterns/celtic-knot-crochet-patterns) and in my Etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/CelticKnotCrochet?ref=shop_sugg) that you can make before then. 🙂 Happy crocheting! (Oh, and if you sign up for the newsletter on the right (under my photo) you’ll get an email when new Celtic Knot patterns are made available.)
